This policy explains what information Karst Technology (“we”, “us”) collects through this website, what we do with it, and the choices you have. It covers this website only.

The short version

• We collect what you send us in the quote request form, so we can reply to you.
• We do not sell your information or share it for advertising.
• This site has no advertising or tracking cookies and no analytics that follow you around the web.
• You can ask us to show you, correct or delete what we hold about you at any time.

Information we collect

Information you give us

When you send a quote request we collect your name, your email address, your phone number if you include it, the services you select, and whatever you write about the job. If you reach the form from one of our pages for churches, schools or small businesses, the request also notes that type of organization.

If you call or email us instead, we receive whatever you choose to share that way. Please don’t send sensitive information such as passwords, payment card numbers or Social Security numbers through the form or by email.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, the company that hosts this site keeps standard server logs. These include your IP address, your browser and device type, the pages requested and the time. We use them to keep the site running and secure.

To stop automated abuse of the quote form and the staff sign-in page, we keep a scrambled, one-way code derived from the IP address of each submission. It cannot be turned back into an IP address, and it is deleted within 24 hours.

Cookies

Visitors are not given any cookies. One cookie is used on this site, and only for Karst Technology staff: it keeps a staff member signed in to the page where the site is edited.

How we use information

• To reply to your request and prepare a quote, including an email confirming that we received it.
• To provide and schedule services you ask for.
• To keep the website secure and working.
• To meet legal obligations, such as keeping business records.

We do not use your information for automated decisions, and we do not send marketing email to people who only asked for a quote.

Who we share it with

We do not sell or rent personal information. We share it only with:

• Companies that run this website for us. Vercel hosts the site and stores uploaded files, and Neon stores the site’s database, including quote requests. When email is turned on, an email delivery provider carries the notice we get about a new request and the confirmation sent back to you. They may use the information only to provide their service to us.
• Partners needed for a job you ask for. For example, alarm monitoring is provided through our partner, and we share what they need to set up your service after you agree to it.
• Authorities, when the law requires it, or when it is needed to protect someone’s safety or our legal rights.

How long we keep it

We keep quote requests for as long as we need them to respond and to keep a record of the work we quoted or did. Requests that don’t lead to work are deleted when we no longer need them. You can ask us to delete yours sooner.

Your choices

You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email support@karsttechnology.net or call (440) 316-0613. We will answer within 30 days. We may need to confirm it is really you first, and we may keep records the law requires us to keep.

Some states give their residents specific privacy rights. We honor the requests above no matter where you live, and we will not treat you differently for making one.

Children

This website is for organizations and adults. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Security

The site is served over an encrypted connection, quote requests are stored in a database that only signed-in staff can reach, and staff passwords are stored in a scrambled form. No website can promise perfect security, so please share only what we need to give you a quote.

Links to other websites

If we link to another company’s website, that company’s own privacy policy applies there.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle information we will update this page and the date at the top. If the change is significant we will say so on the website.
